NMR Core Director position, UPenn

We are recruiting a core director to lead the recently upgraded NMR facility, located at the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. The successful candidate will interact with several groups within our vibrant chemical & structural biology community to foster the development of collaboration projects aiming to characterize important therapeutic targets. The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:  

• PhD in physics, chemistry, biochemistry or a related field.
• Proficiency in operating and maintaining Bruker NMR spectrometers equipped with TCI cryoprobes and Avance neo consoles. Familiarity with Linux-based systems and data processing tools.
• Fluency in the Bruker pulse programming language, ability to implement experiments from the primary literature.
• Experience with applications of 19F NMR to study proteins is desired, but not necessary.
