Postdoctoral Fellow

I obtained my PhD in Molecular Microbiology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece in the lab of Dr. George Diallinas.

Different major histocompatibility complex class I (MHC I) molecules bind distinct sets of peptides that will be presented in the cell surface, affecting an individual’s susceptibility to diseases. Some MHC-I allotypes are subjected to TAP binding protein, related TAPBPR-mediated peptide editing. My current research focuses on understanding how TAPBPR determines peptide repertoires presented by different human leukocyte antigen (HLA) class I molecules.
